NSS REPORT
1) One day Free General Medical Camp was conducted at Maruthakulam village on 30-10-2010. 210 village people were given free medical checkup and free medicine were given.
2) Global Warming Awareness campaign was conducted at Maruthakulam, Mayaneri,Patiniparai,Sathangulam,Thotakudi,mondradaippu,kovaikulam,UlagammalpuramMalainkulam, and karuppukati villages on 10-10- 2010 during which 10 villages were visited.
3) NSS Day was celebrated on 25th Sep 2010.200 NSS Volunteers and
staff members participated.
4) TamilNadu Fire Service selected 33 fire safety volunteers from our college .They conducted one day fire safety training program at Nanguneri fire station on 3-09-2010.
5) A Seven Days NSS special Camp was conducted at maruthakulam village from 30-03-2010 to 05-04-2010.During the special Camp ,field work had been done by NSS volunteers which includes,
- Cleaning of streets
- Blood Donation Camp in which 70 units was collected
- Tree plantation programme
- Cleaning work of Hospital and Church Campus
- Maintainance of canals
- Seminars were conducted on “LAW AND YOUTH, PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT AND LEADERSHIP, AIDS AWARENESS ,YOUTHS PARTICIPATION & NATIONAL INTEGRATION “.
6) Our College students donated Blood to various Hospitals.
7) Tamilnadu Police- people welfare association conducted a College level Elocution and Essay Writing Competition on 18.10.10 at Rural Community college ,Nanguneri.

8 ) An “Inter college cultural meet”was organized by the TamilNadu Aids Control Society & National Service Scheme at Anna University ,Tirunelveli on 4-8-10.
20 students our college participated in the drawing competition.
9) P.A.Ahamed Ashik II year I.T and S.Sharath Kumar I year EEE Presented a paper titled on “Nano Structured Solar Cell”,in National Leval Technical Symposium conducted by National Service Scheme,at Sona college of engineering & Technology on 27-02-2010.
10) Pulse Polio Awareness campaign was conducted at Maruthakulam,Malainkulam, and karuppukati villages on 5th Feb 2010 during which 250 houses were visited.
11) 3 days camp was organized for patching work on the Maruthakulam to Mondradaippu Road on 11-02-2010,12-02-2010 &15-02-2010.
12) One day Free General Medical Camp was conducted at Maruthakulam village on 20-02-2010.340 village people were given free medical checkup.
13) International Women’s Day was also celebrated in our college premises on 8-3-10 in which 50 students and staff members participated.
