Information Technology
The Department is equipped with hightech Computer facilities with around 100 high-end systems and a host of advanced softwares such as Macromedia Studio MX/ Director, IBM Rational Enterprises Solution, Adobe Creative Suite, Oracle 10G, DB2 8.2,WAS 5.1,Web Server, Linux Server, Database Server and Cisco Router. We are the only engineering institution in the region pocessing IBM UNIX Server (AIX) with 64-bit processor. 24 hours Internet facility is available with 2 Mbps Leased line. With the help of the dedicated team of expert staff the department enables the students to design implement and administer complex distributed information systems including the archival database and communication infrastructure associated with such systems. The department offers B.Tech Information Technology (4 years) degree course with a sanctioned intake of 90.
