CONTROL SYSTEMS LABORATORY

This Lab introduces the fundamentals of control systems theory with emphasis on design and implementation. The lab focuses on technical implementation issues of classical control systems in the frequency domain and modern control systems in the state-space. Design and implementation of control system is done using MATLAB software with control system toolbox to perform experiments like open loop and closed loop systems. The lab is well furnished with equipments like AC and DC Servomotor, Synchro, Position control system, Controller design kit, LVDT, Strain Gauge, Thermistors, Thermocouple and RTD kits. The lab provides the facility to analyze the stability of the system. The lab is also equipped with sufficient number of CROs, Digital storage oscilloscopes etc.

ELECTRICAL MACHINES LABORATORY

The laboratory imparts knowledge of characteristics and behavior of the DC and AC Machines. It is well established with all kinds of motors, generators and latest drives. This is the core lab for the Electrical Engineering branch and the ancillary for ECE, Mechanical engineering and other branches.

ELECTRON DEVICES AND CIRCUITS LABORATORY

Different basic electronic devices like BJT, JFET, MOSFET, SCR, UJT etc., are available in the laboratory for conducting experiments relevant to electrical and electronic devices and circuits.

Lab is adequately equipped with Function Generators, Signal Generators, Cathode Ray Oscilloscopes (CRO), Digital LCR-Q Meters, Decade Resistance Boxes, Voltmeters, Ammeters, Wattmeters, Multimeters, etc.

MEASUREMENTS & INSTRUMENTATION LAB

Lab imparts practical insight of various measuring instruments and their working principles. It consists of different kinds of kits such as LVDT, Pressure Transducers etc. The lab is equipped with all the DC and AC Bridges, Power supplies etc.

POWER ELECTRONICS LAB

The laboratory has different kinds of kits such as SCR Characteristics, Study kit for D.C. Motor Control using Chopper and necessary simulation softwares. Lab is equipped with all the Power Electronic Converters, Power Supplies etc.

POWER SYSTEM SIMULATION LAB

This lab is well equipped with MATLAB software, which interfaces the mathematical computing visualization. It is a powerful language to provide a flexible environment for technical computing in the areas of Power Electronics, Control System, Power System and Electronic Circuits.

8 Mbps high speed internet connectivity is also available.
