ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO B.E
A pass in Higher Secondary School Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or a pass in Higher Secondary School Examination – Vocational with Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics as one of the subject or a pass in Diploma Course in Engineering or a pass in any other equivalent approved by the concerned authority.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO M.C.A PROGRAMME
- A pass in any Degree with 10+2+3/4 years pattern with mathematics at +2 level or with mathematics/statistics as one of the subjects as the Degree level
- For Goverment quota seats the candidate must appear TANCET examination [Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test]
MARK ELIGIBILITY AS PER GOVERNMENT OF TAMILNADU GUIDELINES
AGE LIMIT
There is no age limit to join any UG and PG course.
LATERAL ENTRY ADMISSION (DIRECT SECOND YEAR) B.E. / B.TECH.
Candidates who have passed Diploma course in engineering of the state Board of Technical Education or its equivalent are eligible for admission to the second year of all B.E. / B.Tech courses. The 5th and 6th semesters marks are considered for eligibility.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Application forms can be obtained from the college office on payment of Rs.400/- in cash or by Demand Draft drawn in favour of ‘National College of Engineering’ payable at Tirunelveli, Tamilnadu. On being selected for admission, all necessary documents have to be submitted to the office together with payment of fees.
CONDUCT OF STUDENTS
A student carries an obligation to conduct himself in perfect manner with the college rules and regulation. The first and foremost objective of the trust and college is disicipline. This institution believes in building a disciplined society of engineers and managers. They are therefore expected to display self-imposed discipline and exemplary character. They shall conduct themselves in a manner worthy of their professional ethics and the college and the trust.
Antiragging Measures
Ragging is strictly prohibited as per Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Ragging Act, 1997. The College has formed an Antiragging Committee and Antiragging Squad to prevent any possibility for ragging in the college and hostel premises and to recommend effective disciplinary measures in the event of complaints of ragging. Any student found to have indulged in ragging will be suspended forthwith from the college and hostels and could even be dismissed from the college. The decision of the Principal will be final and binding in all matters of discipline.
Attendance and Leave Rules
The requirement of attendance is a minimum of 75% to appear for the university examination. If a student is absent for with out prior intimation it will be treated as absent. Leave application must be submitted in advance to the respective Head of the Department and in case of emergency the leave application shall be submitted very first day after the day(s) of absence.
