Department of Computer Science and Engineering
Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) was started in the year 2000 with the course B.E. (CSE). It has the sanctioned student strength of 60. The department has very good infrastructure. It has highly equipped labs and excellent class rooms. At present there are 9 well qualified and experienced faculty members and 4 supporting staff members. Computer Labs are fully equipped with 200 latest HP computers with required software’s as per Anna University syllabus and networked with two high-end servers and 32 Mbps internet connectivity.
The department conducts various Intra Department and National level technical symposia, Guest lectures, Seminars, Workshops, Industrial visits, Faculty development programs and various Value added programs at regular intervals for the benefit of students and faculty members. Guidance is provided to the students by a team of experienced faculty members and lab technicians in order to improve their competitive skills in modern era.
The department supports various activities including:
Organizing IITB/IITKgp/AICTE sponsored Short Term Training Programmes.
Organizing Spoken Tutorial workshop for students.
Organizing various online webinars for faculties and students.
Organizing various online competitive examinations such as TCS ION, DAMS, SATVAT etc.

On graduation from the Computer Science and Engineering program, our students will have:
An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, computing and engineering fundamentals to solve engineering problems
An ability to analyze, design and conduct experiments as well as to interpret data for computer engineering problems
An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, cultural, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability
An ability to work independently and function on multi-disciplinary teams;
An ability to identify, formulate and solve complex computer engineering problems
An understanding of professional and ethical responsibility
An ability to communicate effectively with the range of audiences
The broad education necessary to understand the impact of computer engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context

A knowledge of contemporary issues and latest research in the computer community
